Garlic Mustard Control

The Garlic Mustard Busters

The Benzie Conservation District would like to thank one of the area's newest organizations for their fine work. The Northwest Michigan Cooperative Weed Management Area (CWMA) has been spearheading the effort to eradicate Garlic Mustard in Benzie County. Public awareness for this highly invasive plant has been growing steadily since the group's inception in 2005. We have partnered with the CWMA to help educate landowners and disseminate information on identification, life history and control of garlic mustard. To volunteer for area control efforts,
download this form, fill it out, and mail it to the address at the top of the form.

The CWMA covers a four-county region, including Leelanau, Benzie, Manistee, and Lake Counties. Each county's respective Conservation District serves as a conduit for public information, news, and upcoming events regarding garlic mustard control. Also, please call us at (231) 882-4391 to report sightings of this weed, or
download this form, fill it out to the best of your ability, and mail it to the address at the bottom of the form.

Check this page often for meeting announcements and upcoming events hosted by the CWMA!
