It's Time for Our Annual River Clean Sweeps!

Each year the stewards of Benzie County gather to clean up the Platte and Betsie rivers. The BCD along with our partners from the Boardman River Clean Sweep and the Traverse Area Paddle Club will join with folks from across the region to help keep these rivers as beautiful as possible.

Join us this May & June as we hit the rivers for the 2018 Platte and Betsie River Clean Sweeps!

Platte River Clean Sweep 
Thursday May 31, 2018 
9 am to 3 pm
Meet at Veterans Memorial Park at State Forest Campground, Honor (across from fish hatchery on U.S. 31)

Betsie River Clean Sweep 
Saturday June 9, 2018 
8:30 am to 2:30 pm
Meet at Benzonia Congregation Church for the complimentary pancake breakfast! Teams head out after that for different stretches of the river.
