Recycling Programs

We have begun to expand our efforts in recycling some of the everyday items that, while very toxic to the environment, are not accepted by our county's recycling program. Old cell phones (working or not), ink jet cartridges, toner cartridges, and batteries (non-automotive) are all included in the items we take. Please help us keep the harmful chemicals in these products out of our landfills and out of our groundwater.

Click on the links below to find out more information about these items and where they can be dropped off!

For more information about where and how to recycle other hazardous items in Benzie County, contact Marlene Wood-Zylstra, County Recycling Coordinator, at (231) 882-0554.
