Also called dunegrass, American beachgrass has strong underground rhizomes that provide excellent, natural erosion control on or near shorelines. It prefers well-drained sites but is very tolerant of high water levels.
How to plant: as a general rule of thumb, plant each plug
6” - 8” deep, one per hole in a 6” up to 12” square grid. If you are planting beachgrass on a slope or very windy area, plant the plugs closer together (about 6” apart).
