Audrey Menninga: Director, Northwest Michigan Invasive Species Network[email protected] | office: 231-252-4148 | cell: 231-299-0786 | www.habitatmatters.org
Audrey Menninga’s entryway into the environmental field was through tended flower gardens and strawberry plants when she was growing up. This spurred her to pursue her undergraduate studies at Northern Michigan University, where she double majored in Writing and Environmental Science with a minor in GIS. From there she began travelling the Midwest, working primarily in the invasive species field. A job with the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy led her to Traverse City, where she fell in love with the area. Landing finally at the Northwest Michigan Invasive Species Network (ISN), Audrey worked her way through the ranks, truly exploring ISN’s four counties. Thanks to lockdown mania, Audrey now also has a Professional Science Masters in Conservation Biology from University of Wisconsin – Stout. You can usually find Audrey playing in the dirt of her garden beds or lying on her couch with at least one cat on top of her.
