Betsie River Clean Sweep

​When: June 21, 2025 from 9:00am - 1:00pm. Rain backup day is June 24.

​About:
Enjoy a morning on the Betsie and help keep the river beautiful! We’ll be paddling this state-designated Natural River for 2.5 - 3 hours to remove anthropogenic (human-made) debris to keep the water healthy and the habitat safe. Please join us at Homestead Dam in Benzonia at 9:00am (make sure to arrive early to sign in!).

How to prepare:

• Cleanup equipment and light breakfast provided
• Please bring your own kayak or canoe, life preserver, water bottle, sunscreen, and bug spray
• In the event of bad weather, this event will be rescheduled for June 24, 2025.
• Everyone is welcome! People under 18 must be accompanied by their parent or guardian
