Annual Meeting: 2024

10/18/2024

This has been a busy year at the Benzie Conservation District, and we are excited to share our latest work with you! Please save the date for our upcoming Annual Meeting on November 14, 2024, from 6pm to 8pm at the Mills Community House (see map).

This event is free and features:
  • Guest speaker Sean Leask, Inland Fish and Wildlife Biologist for the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians (GTB) on their lake sturgeon restoration program
  • A state of Benzie waters update from BCD staff
  • Conservation program news and updates
  • Charcuterie style refreshments catered by Still Grinning Kitchens
  • BCD board director election
During the meeting, we will be running an election to fill one vacancy on our Board of Directors. Jim Clark is the only candidate running for the position of Board Director. Eligible voters must be 18 years or older and reside in Benzie County. Votes are also currently being accepted by absentee ballots, available at the Benzie Conservation District office.
Thank you for another great year! We look forward to seeing you at our Annual Meeting. RSVPs are greatly appreciated by emailing [email protected] or calling 231-882-4391.
