Jane Perrino: Development Coordinator

Jane has enjoyed promoting the mission of the BCD since 2017, telling the stories of impact that stream from its programs and seeking sustainable funding for its crucial work. To her, the rustling leaves of Benzie County’s forests and the gentle lapping of its waters are more than just scenery—they are home. Jane’s connection to the natural world was forged during idyllic childhood summers spent exploring these cherished landscapes. She completed a BS in Biology with a minor in Communications from Wheaton College (IL). Further deepening her expertise, Jane earned an MS in Environmental Science from the University of Illinois, specializing in the vital realm of freshwater resources.

​When not diving deep into conversation about environmental wonders, you can find Jane foraging with her husband, paddling, capturing the beauty of the natural world with her lens, or, most joyfully, sharing her boundless enthusiasm for nature with her three eager learners at home.
