Platte River Clean Sweep


​When: Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 9:30am - 1:00pm. Rain backup day is July 16.

Where: Meeting at Maley Park, Honor (map).

​About:
Enjoy a morning on the Platte while helping to keep the river a safe, healthy, and beautiful habitat! Please join us at Maley Park in Honor at 9:30am for this annual river cleanup. We’ll paddle for about 2.5 - 3 hours to remove anthropogenic (human-sourced) litter, like plastic bottles and fishing line, from this precious river. Please arrive early to sign in.

How to prepare:
  • Cleanup equipment and light breakfast provided
  • Please bring your own kayak or canoe, life preserver, water bottle, sunscreen, and bug spray
  • In the event of bad weather, this event will be rescheduled for July 16, 2025.
  • Everyone is welcome! People under 18 must be accompanied by their parent or guardian
