White oak is a large tree with irregular, wide spreading branches that form a round crown. Leaves are bright green and whitish underneath, turning reddish-violet in fall. Wildlife love sweet white oak acorns. This tree is slow-growing, water and rot resistant, and is used for wine barrels, timber, and woodworking.
