Sometimes called the red willow, red osier dogwood has narrow, distinctly dark- to bright-red bark that makes it a beautiful four-season shrub. It produces white flowers and attracts wildlife like turkey, ruffed grouse, bobwhite, and pheasant. Because it enjoys wetland sites, it is often used as a soil stabilizer or landscape border.
