Soil: likes various soils, does well in moist, sandy or silty soils; often found near water

Height: can reach heights of 50’ to 70’


Also called paper birch, this tree is known for its stunning, showy bark. The snow-white, peeling bark makes it a beautiful addition as a landscape or ornamental tree. Numerous birds and small mammals eat the buds and seeds. It is used to help reduce erosion, protect aquatic environments, and increase biodiversity.
