Black elderberry is a small, quick-growing tree with berries enjoyed by both people and wildlife. It grows clusters of tiny, fragrant, star-shaped white flowers. The berries, which ripen in late July–September, are a purple-black color. When properly prepared, they are used in wines, jams, and juice. Black elderberry attracts wildlife like deer, woodpeckers, and turkey.
Bareroot seedlings are 6-12".
