Employment with Benzie Conservation District

Benzie Conservation District is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Summer Intern
Hosted by Benzie Conservation District through Michigan Sea Grant’s Environmental Internship Program

About the role:
Benzie Conservation District was selected as a host organization of Michigan Sea Grant (MISG)’s Environmental Internship Program for 2026! Through this program, MISG coordinates and funds undergraduate students from any accredited community college, college, or university in Michigan to work with host organizations like us.

At the BCD, the Summer Intern will work directly with our staff on projects that protect water quality, prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species, and promote responsible land and water stewardship.  This internship is intentionally broad so students can explore different aspects of natural resource work and lean into the parts that inspire them most.

To learn more and apply:
Visit MISG’s Environmental Internship page for application instructions. To see BCD’s proposed intern project, scroll down and select the “Pre-submitted sponsored projects” link. Applications are due by January 31, 2026 at 5:00pm Eastern time.
