2018 Nature Hikes

Spring Hike

When: Friday, May 18, 1 - 3 pm

Where: Lake Ann Pathway Trail, located off Reynolds Road, north of U.S. 31; turn east at the Lake Ann State Forest Campground, the trailhead is on the left

Trail Guide: Judy Kelly taught botany and environmental science at Henry Ford College in Dearborn, MI for 25 years. An expert naturalist and president of the Michigan Bontanical Club, Judy and her husband retired to Lake Ann in 2015. They are establishing a prairie garden on their property

Winter Hike

​When:  Sunday, January 28, 2:30 - 4 pm

Where: Michigan Legacy Art Park! 

Trail Guide: Join Kama Ross, District Forester, for a winter hike. Kama will discuss winter tree identification, animal tracking, and winter wildlife. Come dressed for the weather, and bring your snowshoes!

​More Info: $5 per adult. Reservations are not required. Complimentary for youth 17 and under with paying adult.  Call Michigan Legacy Art Park (231) 378-4963 for further information. Limited snowshoe rentals are available at Crystal Mountain at the Park at Water’s Edge. Call 231-378-2000 ext. 7000 for snowshoe rental information.
