Sign-up for the Discovery Sail Today! 

The Benzie Conservation District has partnered with the Inland Seas Education Association and the Benzie Water Council to provide a free educational discovery sail for children grades 4-8. The three hour sail departs from Frankfurt Municipal Marina on June 19th at 2pm. Aboard the ship children will participate in the collection and analysis of water, plankton, and lake bottom samples. They will learn about the Great Lakes ecosystem, how a sail boat runs and operates, and the various aquatic species that dwell in Lake Michigan.
