Recent News!
The Benzie Conservation District and Plant It Wild are co-hosting a water tour this Friday, June 30th from 4:30-6:30pm with an afternoon tour of Lower Herring Lake and the native plants at Watervale Resort. Join John Ransom, Conservation Specialist, and Carolyn Thayer, Designs in Bloom, for a tour of the shoreline of Lower Herring Lake and the native gardens at Watervale. A haven for paddlers, Lower Herring Lake is one of Benzie County's gems. You will need a canoe or kayak, paddles, life jackets, binoculars (optional), and appropriate clothing for weather conditions. No shuttling will be necessary as the tour will begin and end at the same place. Location: launch at end of BooHoo View Rd; from M-22, turn on Watervale Rd, and then right onto BooHoo View Road. To sign-up: Contact John Ransom at [email protected] or 231-882-4391 x 13. Comments are closed.
