As part of the Benzie Conservation District's Educational Series, Conservation Specialist John Ransom will be hosting a water tour of Pearl Lake on Saturday, July 9th from 9am to 12pm. All ages are welcome. You will need a canoe or kayak, paddles, life jackets, binoculars (optional), and appropriate clothing for weather conditions. No shuttling will be necessary as the tour will begin and end at the same place. Come and take in the sights of Pearl Lake's natural beauty while learning about the ecology of the lake, Michigan's native species, and the history of Benzie's waterways. We will meet at the DNR Public Access Site on the NW corner of Pearl Lake on Wagner Road. To register, please contact John at [email protected] or 231-882-4391 x 13. Suggested donation is $5-$10.
